I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to help an organization make a difference in our outdoor community. The experience with the Overland Expo Foundation opened my eyes to both the challenges and opportunities of working together to help keep public lands public.

As for volunteering for OXF, it was a pleasure and honor to spend time talking to Overland Expo guests about the Foundation and the existing opportunities for grants to help promote and preserve our public lands. I also love hearing about the adventures and plans of others who have common goals of spending more time exploring the beautiful world around us.

Volunteering at Overland Expo was great! Not only was it wonderful to be supporting Overland Expo, but the Overland Expo Foundation representative leading our group was always there to support us when needed. Both a terrific show and management, made it an outstanding experience!

As a volunteer for the foundation I felt valued as a person. All the foundation personnel are very welcoming and receptive to ideas and suggestions and I learned much more information about the foundation. As we manned the booth for the raffle ticket sales I was very impressed how eager folks were to stop, listen, and discuss foundation facts. The camaraderie between the volunteers was almost instant and became apparent as we spent time together on different shifts manning the booth and the different volunteer assignments. Plan on being there next year!!

Being a volunteer for the Overland Expo Foundation was not only a great opportunity to help a good cause, but also great fun working with the other volunteers and meeting so many interesting people. Everyone had great stories and experiences they shared about discovering our beautiful country.
