The Overland Expo Foundation is proud to announce the awarding of a $6,000 grant to Tread Lightly! for a joint stewardship project. The project goal is to support public lands, forest roads, and trails in need of repair, restoration, or remediation. The project location will be near an Overland Expo event.
ABOUT Tread Lightly!
Tread Lightly! is a non-profit organization that leads a national initiative to promote the responsible use of motorized vehicles when recreating outdoors. Our goal is to balance the off-road and off-highway vehicle (OHV) users’ need for adventure with the need to conserve the places where they ride and explore.

The Impact
The stewardship project gives back to the overland community by improving trail access, restoring damaged areas, and promoting responsible recreation practices. By maintaining and preserving these routes, overlanders can enjoy more sustainable adventures while ensuring these trails remain open for future exploration. Additionally, the project fosters a sense of community by encouraging volunteers to take an active role in conservation efforts, reinforcing the overland ethos of responsible travel and environmental stewardship.
